Waterless Wednesday – 2/14/2018
Welcome to Waterless Wednesday #2! We have some great tips this week for you to save more water and money. Be sure to share these tips with friends, family and co-workers so you can make the most of YOUR Waterless Wednesday!
#1 Wash full loads of laundry – Making sure your washing machine is full is the most efficient way to do laundry. Not enough clothes? Take the time to adjust the settings on your washer to reflect the size of the load.
#2 Dropped a few ice cubes on the ground? – Don’t throw them in the sink! Give your house plants a little extra hydration by putting the ice cubes in the pot.
#3 Refill a reusable water bottle – Using a reusable water bottle or designating a water glass each day will help you save plastic AND cut down on the number of glasses that you need to wash.
#4 Doing dishes by hand? – Instead of leaving the water running while washing, fill one large bowl with wash water and one with rinse water and never waste water again!
#5 Never use your toilet as a garbage – Each flush uses anywhere from 1-3 gallons of water and in addition to facing problems with your plumbing, flushing garbage down the toilet is a pure waste of water!
Be sure to come back next week for more water conservation tips!
